Financial Support

The AgWeatherNet Program is a network of 129 automated weather stations that collects weather data in near real-time and disseminates this information using both push and pull technology associated with various decision support systems. The core operational budget of the AgWeatherNet Program is funded through the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences and WSU Extension. Private contributions and support have enabled past product development efforts and make future enhancements possible.

Continuing Support

• The Oregon Hop Comission provides ongoing support for the Corvalis East, Silverton North, St. Paul South, and Woodburn South weather stations.
• The Land Management Division of the Washington State Department of Natural Resources provides ongoing support for the Tumwater SW (August, 2011) weather station.
• The Washington State Concord Grape Research Council provides ongoing support for the Grandview NE (August, 2012) weather station.
• The Kitsap Conservation District provides ongoing support for the Poulsbo South (February, 2013) weather station.
• Valley Fruit provides ongoing support for the Royal City North (March, 2014) weather station.
• Monson Fruit Company provides ongoing support for the Granger North (April, 2014) weather station.
• Quilceda Creek Vintners, Inc. provides ongoing support for the Phinny Hill (September, 2014) and Wallula West (January, 2015) weather stations.
• Auvil Fruit Co. provides ongoing support for the Vantage (November, 2014) weather station.
• WSDA Speciality Crop Block Grant Program, Pacific Coast Cranberry Research Foundation and Grayland Cranberry Growers Association provides ongoing support for the Grayland (November, 2014) weather station.
• The Lighthouse Environmental Programs, Puget Sound Energy, and Island County Public Works provides ongoing support for the Langley (December, 2014) weather station.
• USDA-ARS Long-Term Agroecosystem Research (LTAR) Network provides ongoing support for the Dayton NW (March, 2015) weather station.
• Western Ag Improvement provides ongoing support for the Odell (WAI-Moe) (March, 2015) weather station.
• Zirkle Fruit Company provides ongoing support for the Azwell (April, 2015) weather station.
• The Eggert Family of Tualatin, Oregon, provides ongoing support for the Pullman Central (May, 2015) weather station.
• Mt. Adams Orchards provides ongoing support for the Husum (June, 2015) weather station.
• Northwest Grain Growers provides ongoing support for the Prescott North (September, 2015) weather station.

One-time Support

• The Washington Grain Growers provided support for the installation of the Garfield East (October, 2013), Hartline South (October, 2013), LaCrosse (March, 2013), and Harrington South (April, 2013) weather stations.
• The Washington State Wine Commission provided support for the installation of the Snipes Mountain (March, 2014) weather station.

Research Support

• The Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission has provided financial support for the Cherry Cold Hardiness project.
• The Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission provided financial support for the Pollen Tube Growth Model project.
• USDA Viticulture Consortium West provided partial funding for development of the Grape Cold Hardiness model.
• The United States Department of Agriculture and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers provided financial support for the Irrigation Scheduler project.
